VoIP is 'great for free international calls'
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) can be used to make free calls to worldwide destinations, according to live PR.
Users can make calls via the internet with a VoIP application and save themselves or their company money on international calls.
To make a VoIP call, the user must have a broadband connection, a PC, laptop or smartphone, a headphone and microphone.
It has become popular because it is a cost-effective way of making calls and it has clear sound quality.
Nisha Garg, from live PR, said the need for cheaper international calls had become even more important due to globalisation and a rise in global business.
"The entire facet of communication has gone through a tremendous makeover over the changing period of time," she added.
Earlier this week it was announced that Google may be launching a VoIP phone.
The handset is expected to be released in the new year and it is rumoured that it will be slimmer than Apple's iPhone.
