Cloud computing 'makes economic sense'
Colocation platforms such as cloud computing are being adopted by many UK businesses because they "make economic sense", according to one technology expert.
Simone Brunozzi, Amazon web services evangelist for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, says that implementing cloud computing services has become particularly popular during the worldwide economic downturn because of the cost-saving benefits it can offer.
"The economics behind cloud computing is what really changed things. [It] has become so important for lots of companies, from small start-ups to huge enterprises and conglomerates," he states.
Mr Brunozzi was speaking at the Westminster eForum Keynote Seminar on Cloud Computing, which was held yesterday (February 10th) to look at the prospects the medium can offer for the UK.
Recent data from holistic email management company Mimecast revealed that 70 per cent of IT decision makers that are already using cloud computing plan to move additional solutions to the resource within the next year.
